Therapy for Family Issues

“There are no individuals in the world, only fragments of families.”

Carl Whitaker

Family is both chosen and blood. Each family has rules (often unspoken) of who gets to make decisions, who is trustworthy, and how communication is supposed to happen. In family therapy, goals are co-created then the therapist helps the family to address patterns that may be dysfunctional or unhealthy in reaching those goals. The foundation of good family therapy is in using creative and tailored interventions and the learning and practicing of new skills.
